I had a fantastic time at the Wellington Gluten Free & Allergy Show the 19th & 20th March, Te Rauparaha Arena, in the Food Demonstration room showing my Take on Takeaways!
Thank you to everyone who came along and a very special thanks to Delmaine Fine Foods, Vogel’s Gluten Free Buns, Cameron Harrison Butchery and Delicatessen, Baxter’s Original Gluten Free Sauces, and San Remo for helping with giveaways and ingredients at the show.
Will and Janna loved this session so much, Will organised a Personal Masterclass for Janna’s Birthday afterwards. And he wanted to do the “awesome cauli salad” recipe again as a side for main course!
“We just had such a great time” – Will
“That Southwest Steak so was tender and delicious!” – K.M.
A few written comments from feedback forms from those who’ve attended GF Baking at Island Bay Community Centre and Churton Park Community Centre:
“All the tips and suggestions very helpful”
“Elizabeth you were great – I really loved the bread and muffins as I am looking to add variety to my daytime menu…”
“Thanks for the GF baking course that you taught at the Island Bay Community Centre. It’s given me confidence to try new combinations… Keep up your inspiring work.”
“This demo was very useful because most of the bread we’ve made hasn’t worked!”

K. Frazer, email after the first 2015 school holidays’ Gluten Free Pizza Scroll class:
“My daughter and her friend thoroughly enjoyed themselves! We loved what she made β she was a proud cook that brought home her goodies!
She has already baked the scrolls twice at home and the she doubled the most recent batch so that it would last longer. The first batch disappeared within the hour!
Thank you again for sharing your passion for cooking β it has rubbed off on her. Itβs great to see her measuring, mixing, getting messy and enjoying the final result and wanting to do it again!”
FUNDRAISERS & CHARITY INITIATIVES…
Morning and afternoon tea for the volunteers!
At this kaibosh event we raised $660 which equated to more than 1000 meals provided to people in Wellington who need it most! Thank you to Michele and Juliet for all of your help with this event and to everyone who attended and made donations!
